Culture as Meanings ‘Factory’:
Historical Dynamics
Abstract: This article examines historical evolution of culture as a functional system forming new essential meanings of human existence. The analysis of this development shows that such meanings are specific of each era and are born when public consciousness learns the complexity of the world and starts to search explanations of this complexity.
Key words: cultural meanings, worldview, the complexity of social reality, explanatory models.
