A century later: the tragic experience of Soviet Culture
(continuation)

Abstract. The article examines the negative aspects of Soviet cultural policy for more than 70 years - repression against writers and artists, because of which many authors spent many years in prison, and some lost their lives altogether, political, ideological, and sometimes aesthetic prohibitions on the publication of some works, ideological stamps in the image/ the description of some characters, etc., which developed the cult of groveling before the authorities among the population. Moreover, all this was unstable and changed with each change of ruler. Nevertheless, even in these conditions, figures of artistic culture managed to create masterpieces.

Keywords: power, culture, ideology, cultural policy, repression, censorship, artistic stamps.
