The book is a joint publication of two theoretical works by A.Y. Flier including his monograph "Essays on theory of historical dynamics of culture", 2012, and thematic systematic collection of articles 2008-2013 "Cultural Landscapes of the Social Space." These works contain the main ideas of Flier’s scientific views of the essence of culture, its social functions and historical development dynamics. The works also present theoretical models of society’s cultural reality, developed by the author.

The book is intended for culture researches, doctoral and post-graduate students conducting research on theory of culture.
