Actual and contemporary. Repeatable and unrepeatable. Stupid and eternal

Abstract. The article is devoted to the eternal problems of the relevance and value of artistic creativity. The author critically analyzes the article by С. Greenberg «Avant-Garde and Kitsch», showing the inconsistency of many of the provisions put forward by Greenberg and, accordingly, criticizes the conventional wisdom about avant-garde art as an actual cultural phenomenon of the 20th century.
