Shapinskaya Ekaterina Nikolaevna, Artistic Taste and Cultural Capital: Views and Ideas of Pierre Bourdieu
Abstract. The article examines the ideas of French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu as to the nature of aesthetic taste, as well as the ways of formation of aesthetic disposition and cultural capital. While the questions of aesthetic values are dealt with by the French scholar on the basis of class theory, many of his ideas are still relevant in our time.
