Cultural Studies – yesterday, today, tomorrow

Abstract. The article analyzes the development of cultural knowledge, the trend of its universalization due to the research of cultural scientists of the "sociological direction", in particular, A. Ya.Flier. As a result, everyday life is legitimized, which has received a representative justification as a basic, fundamental structure belonging to the most significant cultural universals. The article deals with the history of culture, its social projection, and the methodology of cultural studies.
