Shapinskaya Ekaterina Nikolaevna, Education in the digital age: learning or entertainment?
Abstract. The article deals with the problems of modern education associated with General changes in the socio-cultural situation. Attention is drawn to such phenomena (post)of modern culture as mediatization, growing consumerism, digitalization, gamification, affecting the entire sphere of education. There is a gap between the theory and practice of education, as well as between institutional measures to modernize education and real educational practices. It is concluded that it is necessary to comprehend the dynamic socio-cultural processes of our days to preserve the status of education as an institution of socialization and a way of transferring cultural experience.
