The book is aimed to provide cultural and philosophical analysis of principles of urban realm color organization, proposed in the works of famous Russian avant-garde artist Kazimir Malevich. The author presents key ideas of artistic concepts and their implementation in scenic architecture projects, festive decoration Vitebsk, “architectons” and “planits”. A characteristic of K. Malevich’s way of representing his “edition” of urban realm is given. Iconography and coloring of the artist’s architectural drawing are analyzed. The book also describes socio-cultural transformation of Malevich’s ideas, their connection with the architectural traditions, and ways of living in contemporary urban culture.
