Minorities of the Russian Empire between religiosity and revolutionism
Abstract. The article explores the situation of ethnic, confessional, social, gender and other minorities in pre-revolutionary Russia, analyzed their cultural position in the revolutionary processes of the early twentieth century. It is shown that in the conditions of the crisis of traditional culture, for the representatives of minorities, religions could no longer effectively perform the compensatory and regulatory function. As an alternative to religion, revolutionary activity became actual for them, which could potentially reconcile them with the oppressed state and give life meaning. Based on the analysis, a number of theoretical conclusions have been made about the important role of minorities in the crisis dynamics of sociocultural systems, the impossibility of minorities to influence culture without an institution of representation.
Key words. February revolution of 1917, October revolution of 1917, Russian revolution, Bolsheviks, minorities, cultural dynamics, cultural revolution, postcolonial theory, gender theory, history of socialism.

[25] Here we turn to the conceptual apparatus of post-structuralist and post-Marxist thought, which was hardly developed in relation to the events of the Russian history of the twentieth century. It seems to us that such a consideration of The Russian revolution in the light of modern philosophical criticism can not only give us a new interpretation of the history of religions in Russia, but also enrich these philosophical concepts with new content. Not only is Civil war a special case of rhizome, but perhaps the rhizome is a special case of civil war understood as a concept.
