Parody as a cultural Phenomemon: Two Views on One Subject

Abstract: The phenomenon of Parody, its embodiment in different art forms (namely literature and music) have been examined in the article. Having traced the history of development of parody the authors put up a question of its status in (post)modern culture where parody often loses the connection with the original text thus turning into pastiche.
