Philosophy of Pop-Culture or Popular Philosophy?
(Destiny of Philosophy in the Age of Mass Culture)

Abstract. The article is dedicated to popularization of philosophy through including popular culture texts into philosophical discourse. The author highlights some educational problems ever more tending to gamification, reduction of cultural texts of the past, turning from philosophical knowledge into just a digest. Through the examples of book series claiming to philosophically reflect on mass culture texts the author discusses a status of philosophical knowledge in the modern world and a possibility of popularization of the classical heritage in general.

Key words: philosophy, popular culture, ethics, cultural research, education.
