"Self" as a condition and mechanism of personality formation

Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the processes of formation of self-consciousness and self-identification of a person, her human individuality, subjectivity of views, etc. The foundations of this are laid in childhood. The author examines how this problem was reflected in Ancient Eastern religious texts and in ancient and medieval philosophers.
