Socialization and inculturation of the individual: a comparative analysis of socially significant practices

Abstract. The article is a combination of 2 texts published in the encyclopedia "Applied Cultural Studies" and provided with a preface dedicated to A. J. Flier. The texts consider the problems of socialization and inculturation of a person in relation to his environment, as well as the use of these practices in the modern social situation.
