Sorokin’s Concept of Social Dynamics Abstract. The article covers the cyclic theory of the history of society and culture, developed by P. Sorokin, and its conceptual origins. The author analyzes the history of European art and makes the conclusion that the period of sensual world perception and reflection in art, developed since the Renaissance, is now changing for a ideational period of supersensual world perception, bringing appropriate transformation of forms art.
