The Morphology of Culture: A New Understanding

Abstract. The article upgrades the existing model of the morphology of culture, worked out by E. Orlova in the 1990s and developed by the author in the following years, the binary structure of culture (everyday and specific sphere) being shifted to the ternary one, involving such functional segments as customs, ideology and mediatization. From this point of view the author rethinks the whole system of culture and its particular segments.
