What Is Good and What Is Bad in Terms of Culture

Abstract. The article discusses various views on social boon and its antipode – social bane, popular in different types of cultures, in different historical epochs, among different social groups. The views are classified, semantic interconnections being established between sociocultural interests of various historical phenomena.

Key words. Culture, good and evil, social boon and bane, functional types of culture, historical epochs, social groups and their interests.
