Existential choice or conscious construction of one's own life (in the footsteps of Edith Eva Egert's book "Choice")

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of obsessive mental disorders associated with stress. The article is based on the book by Edith Eva Egert, who was imprisoned in the German Auschwitz concentration camp. The author comes to the conclusion that these disorders are predominantly cultural in nature and can be overcome with proper knowledge.
